What is The Cancel Cutting Project?
Annually, over two million cases of self harm are reported within the US alone. 1 in 5 females and 1 in 7 males engage in self injury each year, 90% of whom are still within their teen and preteen years. Females make up 60% of this large number of youths, half of whom carry self harm tendencies into adulthood. It cannot be ignored that our member base and self harm statistics match up.These years are a vital points in time for youths who struggle with self harm, what decisions are made now can drastically effect the long term mental health of teens moving forward into adulthood. Seeing our members step into the future with their healthiest foot forward is very important to us, as both I have struggled with self harm in the past.
The Cancel Cutting Project aims to see a signifiant decline in self harm among our fellow members.
How it works as a participant: Once you submit your application, your pledge swear off of self harm has officially begun! After three months you’ll receive your first free prize for doing such a great job. (Ghoul Gang sticker) For every checkpoint you pass after that you will be mailed the corresponding prize!

Ghoul Gang Homework (yes, homework) will also be assigned to participants from time to time, I realize the majority of our members are in school of their own, so it wont be overwhelming. Your assignments will be posted on this website, besides the first assignment which will be emailed to you.
If breaking the self harm cycle was easy, we wouldn’t have created this. It will be a challenge for all members willing to participate, but it’s a challenge we believe our community can face as a team. Together is how we face these challenges.
